Amends Notification No. 345/86-Cus. relating to raw materials for electronics industry Notification No. 84/89-Cus. Dated 1-3-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 345/86-Customs, dated the 16th June, 1986, namely :- In the said notification, - (a) In the opening paragraph for the words "thirty per cent ad valorem ", the words and figures "35% ad valorem " shall be substituted; (b) In the Table, - (i) against Sl. No. 2, for the entry in column (4), the entry "Liquid crystal displays, metal film resistors" shall be substituted; (ii) against Sl. No. 10, for the entry in column (4), the entry "Semi-conductor devices, printed circuit boards" shall be substituted. (iii) against Sl. No. 13, in column (4), for the words "Capacitor grade metallised plastic film.", the words "Capacitor grade metallised plastic film, Piezoelectric Crystal, Hybrid Micro Circuits" shall be substituted; (iv) against Sl. No. 33, in column (4), for the words "T.V. tuner", the words "T.V. tuner, telescopic antenna" shall be substituted; (v) against Sl. No. 35, in column (4), for the word "Capacitors", the words "Capacitors, Glass to metal seals, lead frames,. Headers" shall be substituted; (vi) against Sl. No. 54, in column (4), for the words "Relays", the words "Relay, Mica capacitors" shall be substituted; (vii) against Sl. No. 55, in column (4), for the word "transformer", the words "transformer, Hybrid micro circuits" shall be substituted; (viii) against Sl. No. 68, in column (4), for the word "Loudspeakers", the words "Loudspeakers, Resistors (other than heating resistors)" shall be substituted; (ix) against Sl. No. 78, for the entry in column (4), the entry "Floppy Disks/Diskettes, Floppy disk jacket, Head cleaning diskette" shall be substituted; (x) against Sl. No. 86, in column (4), for the words "Printed Circuit Boards", the words "Printed Circuit Boards, Glass to metal seals, lead frames, Headers" shall be substituted; (xi) against Sl. No. 95, in column (3), for the word and figure "5 kg" the word and figures "25 kilograms" shall be substituted; (xii) against Sl. No. 99, for the entry in column (3), the entry "Ethylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether or its formulations." shall be substituted; (xiii) against Sl. No. 104,for the entry in column (3), the entry "Parts of electron guns excluding beaded body" shall be added; (xiv) against Sl. No. 107,for the entry in column (4), the entry "Magnetic tapes" shall be substituted; (xv) after Sl. No. 108 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl.
