Amends Notification Nos. 254/84-Cus., 75/85-Cus. and 350/85-Cus. relating to specified components for automobile sector Notification No. 74/89-Cus. Dated 1-3-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) specified in the column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be further amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. THE TABLE S. No. Notification No. date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 254/84-Customs, dated the 8th October, 1984. In the Table to the said notification, - (i) for S. No. 3 and the entry relating thereto, the S. No. and entry "3. Steering gear assembly including collapsible and powered steering gear; steering linkage, tie rod ends and axle assembly" shall be substituted; (ii) for S. No. 6 and the entry relating thereto, the S. No. and entry "6. Wiper assembly including wiper motors and washer motor assembly" shall be substituted. (iii) after S. No. 19 and the entry relating thereto, the following S. Nos. and entries shall be inserted, namely :- "20. Distributor Assembly 21. Fuel/Oil Pumps 2. 75/85-Customs, dated the 17th March, 1985. In the Table to the said notification, - (i) for S. No. 3 and the entry relating thereto, the S. No.and entry "3. Steering gear assembly including collap sible and powered steering gear; steering linkage, tie rod ends and axle assembly" shall be substituted; (ii) after S. No. 20 and the entry relating thereto, the following S. Nos. and entries shall be inserted, namely : - "21. Distributor Assembly 22. Fuel/Oil Pumps". 3. 350/85-Customs, dated the 5th December, 1985. In the Table to the said notification, - (i) for S. No. 3 and the entry relating thereto, the S. No. Steering gear assembly including collap sible and powered steering and entry "3. gear; steering linkage, tie rod ends and axle assembly" shall be substituted; (ii) after S. No. 20 and the entry relating thereto, the following S. Nos. and entries shall be inserted, namely :- "21. Distributor Assembly 22. Fuel/Oil Pumps".
