Amends 7 notifications relating to certain machinery and project imports Notification No. 57/89-Cus. Dated 1-3-1989 In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. THE TABLE S. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1) 315/83-Customs, dated the 26th November, 1983. In the said notification, for the figures and words "30 per cent", the figures and words "35 per cent" shall be substituted. 2) 132/85-Customs, dated the 19th April, 1985. In the said notification, for the figures and words "45 per cent", the figures and words "35 per cent" shall be substituted. 3) 6/86-Customs, dated the 2nd January, 1986. In the said notification, for the figures and words "45 per cent", the figures and words "35 per cent" shall be substituted. 4) 154/86-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1986. In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (a) against Sl. No. (i), in column (2) for item 63 and the entry relating thereto, the following entry shall be substituted, namely :- "63. Precision Internal Grinding Machine for tool Room out of roundness 0.000625mm., surface finish 0.05 Micron Ra Value."; and (b) against Sl. No. (iii), in column (3) for the figures and words "85% ad valorem .", the figures and words "75% ad valorem ." shall be substituted. 5) 59/87-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1987. In the said notification, for the figures and words "45 per cent", the figures and words "35 per cent" shall be substituted. 6) 60/87-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1987. In the Table annexed to the said notification, Sl. No. 8 and the entry relating thereto shall be omitted. 7) 181/87-Customs, dated the 29th April, 1987. In the said notification, for the words "thirty-five per cent", the figures and words "25 per cent" shall be substituted.
