Amends Notification Nos. 228A/83-Cus., 61/86-Cus. and 20/88-Cus. (Iron and Steel) Notification No. 54/89-Cus. Dated 1-3-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be amended, or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 01. 228A/83-Customs, dated the 17th August, 1983 In the Table annexed to the said notification, in item (iii), for the figures "15 mm", the figures "16 mm" shall be substituted. 02. 61/86-Customs, dated the 17th February, 1986 In the Table annexed to the said notification, against S. No. 6, for the entry in column (4), the entry "Rs. 5000 per tonne" shall be substituted. 03. 20/88-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1988 In the Table annexed to the said notification, against S. No. (ii), for the entry in column (2), the entry "Sheets or strips, of amorphous iron-boron-silicon alloy" shall be substituted.
