Amends Notification No. 17/88-Cus. so as to extend concession on import of raw wool to units in KVIC and KVIB. Notification No. 50/89-Cus. Dated 1-3-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 17/88-Customs, dated the 1st March 1988, namely,- In the said notification, for the words "Registered Apex Handloom Co-operative Society or a State Handloom Development Corporation", the words "Registered Apex Handloom Co-operative Society, a State Handloom Development Corporation, Khadi and Village Industries Commission or State Khadi and Village Industries Board" shall be substituted.
