Amends Notification No. 14/86-Cus. - Drug Intermediates Notification No. 45/89-Cus. Dated 1-3-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 14/88-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1988, namely :- In the said notification, - (i) In the opening paragraph, for the figures and word "29 or 30", the figures and word "29, 30 or 39" shall be substituted; (ii) in the Table,- (a) after Sl. No. 6 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. No and entries shall be inserted, namely: - (1) (2) (3) "6A 7ADCA (for manufacture of cephalexin) (a) Bismethyl Silyl Urea (b) Pyridine hydrobromide (c) Peracetic acid"; (b) against Sl. No. 15, in column (3) for the entry, the following entries shall be substituted, namely:- "(a) D-Alpha Dihydro Phenyl Glycine (b) Dihydrophenyl Glycine Chloride Hydrochloride (c) Dihydrophenyl Glycine Base (d) Bistrimethyl Silyl Urea (e) Dimethyl formamide"; (c) against Sl.No. 23, in column (3), after item (c) and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted namely :- "(d) 2 Chloropyridine (e) Dimethanolamine (f) Para chlorobenzyl cyanide"; (d) after Sl. No. 26 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. No. 39 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely:- (1) (2) (3) "39A Dane Salt (for manufac ture of semi synthetic penicillin) D parahydroxy phenyl glycine base 39B Di-iodochloro hydroxy quinoline 8 Hydroxyquinoline"; (f) for Sl. No. 46, and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely: (1) (2) (3) "46 Folic acid (a) P-Nitrobenzoic acid (b) Dimethyl formamide (c) Sodium cyanide (d) sodium metal"; (g) against Sl. No. 61, in column (3), after item (e) and the entries relating thereto, the following entries shall be inserted, namely:- "(f) Vanillin"; (j) after Sl. No. 90 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely:- (1) (2) (3) "90A Rifampicin Sodium diethyl barbiturate"; (q) after Sl. No. 95 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. No. 109 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely:- (1) (2) (3) "109A Trimethyl benzalde hyde (for manufacture of trimethoprim) Vanillin"; (s) after Sl. No. 110 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. Nos. and entries shall be inserted, namely:- (1) (2) (3) "110A Vitamin B 1 (a) Acetobutyrolactone (b) Sodium metal 110B Vitamin B 2 Barbituric acid"; (t) after Sl. No. 111 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entries shall be substituted, namely:- (1) (2) (3) "111 Vitamin B 6 (a) 4 Methyl 5 ethoxazole (b) Cis- butenediol  (c) Dl- Alanine (d) Dimethyl formamide (e) Isobutyl aldehyde (f) Ethyl acetoacetate (g) Butenediol".
