Amendment to Notification Nos. 208/81-Cus. and 65/88-Cus. Notification No. 15/89-Cus. Dated 1-2-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be further amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. THE TABLE Sl. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. No. 208/81-Customs, dated the 22nd September, 1981. In the Schedule annexed to the said notification, under the heading "B. Life saving equipments", - (i) for item No. 11 and the entry relating thereto, the following Item and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "11. Nebulized Humidifier."; (ii) for Item No. 21 and the entry relating thereto, the following Item and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "21. Nebulizers excluding (i) Ultrasonic Nebulizers (ii) Heat Nebulizers."; (iii) item No. 34 and the entry relating thereto shall be omitted. 2. No. 65/88-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1988 In the said notification, - (a) in the opening paragraph, for the words and figures "Chapter 84, 85, 90, 94 or 98", the words and figures "Chapter 29, 84, 85, 90, 94 or 98" shall be substituted; (b) in the Table, under the heading "(C) Other Medical Equipments :", - (i) for item No. 3 and the entry relating thereto, the following Item and entry shall be substituted, namely - "3. Automatic electronic blood cell counter from 2-10 parameters"; (ii) Item Nos. 7, 31, 35 and 39, sub-item (2) of Item No. 41, Item Nos. 42, 43, 129 and 147 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted; (iii) for Item No. 9 and the entry relating thereto, the following Item and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "9. Operating Table - Electro hydraulic type"; (iv) for Item No. 10 and the entry relating thereto, the following Item and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "10. Operating Lamps - shadowless"; (v) for Item No. 60 and the entry relating thereto, the following Item and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "60. Billirubinmeter"; (vi) for Item No. 64 and the entry relating thereto, the following Item and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "64. Auto Analyser for Bio-Chemistry with Automatic Printer; (vii) for Item No. 73 and the entry relating thereto, the following Item and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "73. Resuscitator other than compressed air breathing type; (viii) for Item No. 126 and the entry relating thereto, the following Item and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "126. Microprocessor based Bio-Chemistry analyser for enzymes and Drug Level"; (ix) for Item No. 136 and the entry relating thereto, the following Item and entry shall be substituted, namely :- "136. Ventilators other than those used with anaesthesia".
