Amends Notification No. 239/87-Cus. - P.U. Leather [ Ch. 39] Notification No. 340/87-Cus. Dated 19-10-1987 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 239/87-Customs, dated the 17th June, 1987, namely :- In the said notification, - (i) for the word and figures "Chapter 39", the words and figures "Chapter 39 or 56" shall be substituted; (ii) for the word "footballs", wherever it occurs, the words "inflat able balls" shall be substituted.
