Amends four existing auxiliary duty notifications Notification No. 320/87-Cus. Dated 19-9-1987 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-section (4) of section 93 of the Finance Act, 1987 (11 of 1987), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be amended, or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. THE TABLE Sl. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 205/87-Customs, dated the 12th May, 1987. In the Table annexed to the said notification, in column (3), - (i) against S. No. 2 for the letters, figures and words "Rs. 2.75 per piece", the letters, figure and words "Rs. 3 per piece" shall be substituted. (ii) against S. No. 3 for the figures and words, "40 per cent" the figures and words "45 per cent" shall be substituted. 2. 208/87-Customs, dated the 12th May, 1987. In the said notification, in the opening para graph, for the figures and words "25 per cent", the figures and words "30 per cent" shall be substituted. 3. 209/87-Customs, dated the 12th May, 1987 In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, for the figures and words "25 per cent", the figures and words "30 per cent" shall be substituted. 4. 211/87-Customs, dated the 12th May, 1987 In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, for the figures and words "40 per cent", the figures and words "45 per cent" shall be substituted. 2. This notification shall come into force on the 20th day of September 1987.
