Exemption to specified imported goods for manufacture of DTP Vaccines Notification No. 314/87-Cus. Dated 16-9-1987 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts the goods specified in the Table below (hereinafter referred to as the said goods) and supplied by the UNICEF for the purposes of manufacture of DTP vaccines, when imported into India, from the whole of the duty of customs leviable thereon under the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) and from the whole of, the additional duty leviable thereon under the Section 3 of the said Customs Tariff Act, subject to the condition that the importer at the time of clearance furnishes an undertaking, in each case, to the effect that the said goods shall be used only for the purposes of manufacture of DTP vaccines.
