Amends Notification Nos. 42/78-Cus., 29/79-Cus. and 181/86-Cus. Notification No. 294/87-Cus. Dated 13-8-1987 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance' (Department of Revenue), specified in Column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in Column (3) of the said Table : THE TABLE Sl. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 42/78-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1978. In the said notification, in Column (2) of the Table, against Serial No. 142, for the words, "Clicking machine (upper)", the words, "Clicking machine", shall be substituted. 2. 29/79-Customs, dated the 10th February, 1979. In the said notification, in Column (2) of the Table, against Serial No. 6, for the words "Sole leather from ox hides and cut soles and units thereof", the words "Sole leather and cut soles and units thereof with or without heels of leather/ PVC/rubber/coco board/masonite or any other particle board or combination thereof, with or without rubber/PVC top lift", shall be substituted. 3. 181/86-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1986. In the said notification, for the words "blades for leather shaving machines" wherever they occur, the words "blades/ knives for leather shaving machines" shall be substituted.
