Amends Notification No. 216/85-Cus. Notification No. 251/87-Cus. Dated. 30-6-1987 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (I) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 216/85-Customs dated 3rd July, 1985, namely :- (1) In the opening portion of the said notification, for the words and figures, "40 per cent ad valorem", the words and figures "45 per cent ad valorem" shall be substituted; and (2) In para 2 of the said notification, for the words and figures, "30th day of June, 1987", the words and figures "30th day of June, 1988" shall be substituted.
