Amends Notifications No. 282/84-Cus., 68/85-Cus. and 348/86-Cus. Notification No. 244/87-Cus. Dated 25-6-87 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be further amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. In the said notification, after the word "computers", occurring at two places, the words "and computer systems" shall be inserted. 2. 68-Customs, dated the 17th March, 1985. In the said notification, - (i) In the opening paragraph, for the words "exempts computers", the words "exempts computers and computer systems" shall be substituted. (ii) after the words, figures and brackets "Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975)", the words, figures and brackets "and the software of such computers and computer systems falling under heading No. 85.24 of the said First Schedule" shall be inserted; (iii) for the words "the computers are", the words "the computers, computer systems and software are" shall be substituted. 3. 348-Customs, dated the 16th June, 1986 In the said notification, after the word "computers", the words "and computer systems" shall be inserted.
