Raw materials, components and sub-assemblies etc. required by Doordarshan Notification No. 33/87-Cus. Dated 29-1-1987 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, No. 157/84-Customs, dated the 19th May, 1984, namely :- In the said notification, for conditions (a) and (b), the following conditions shall be substituted, namely :- "(a) the importer, at the time of clearance, produces a certificate from the Chief Engineer in the Directorate General, Doordarshan, to the effect that the said raw materials, components and sub-assemblies are required for the manufacture of the said goods under the Special TV Expansion Plan; (b) the importer produces a certificate both from the Chief Executive (by whatever designation called) of the importing organisation and the Chief Engineer in the Directorate General, Doordarshan, within a period of twelve months from the date of clearance of the said raw materials, components and sub-assemblies, or within such extended period as the Assistant Collector of Customs may allow, to the effect that the imported raw materials, components and sub-assemblies have been used for the manufacture of the said goods under the Special TV Expansion Plan and that such goods have been duly received for use by the Doordarshan;".
