Customs Act, 1962 and Customs Tariff Act, 1975 extended to areas in the continental shelf and the exclusive economic zone of India Notification No. 11/87-Cus. Dated 14-1-1987 In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (a) of sub-section (6) of Section 6, and Clause (a) of sub-section (7) of Section 7 of the Territorial Waters, Continental Shelf, Exclusive Economic Zone and Other Maritime Zones Act, 1976 (80 of 1976), the Central Government hereby extends the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) and the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) to the designated areas in the Continental Shelf and the Exclusive Economic Zone of India as declared by the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of External Affairs Number S.O. 429 (E) dated 18th July, 1986, with effect from 15th day of January, 1987.
