Effective rates of duty for goods falling under Chapters 25, 28, 29, 30, 32, 34, 35, 36, 38 and 98 Notification No. 206/86-Cus. Dated 7-3-1986 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 136/86-Customs, dated the 17th February, 1986, namely :— In the Table annexed to the said notification, against Sl. No. 13A, in column (4), for the entry "Rs. 3500/- per tonne", the entry "Rs. 3500/- per tonne on the basis of the weight of the Sodium hydroxide (excluding the weight of the aqueous medium) contained in aqueous solution of Sodium hydroxide" shall be substituted.
