Amendment to 5 existing notifications Notification No. 204/86-Cus. Dated 7-3-1986 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Department of Revenue and Banking or in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), as the case may be, specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. THE TABLE Sl. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 318-Customs, dated the 2nd August, 1976. In the said notification, for the words, letters and figures "Heading No. 100.02", the words, letters and figures "heading No. 98.04" shall be substituted. 2. 197-Customs, dated the 1st July, 1983. In the said notification, for the words, letters, bracket and figures, "falling under sub-heading No. (2) of Heading No. 73.15", the words and figures "falling within Chapter 72" shall be substituted. 3. 86-Customs, dated the 17th February, 1986. In the Table to the said notification; against Sl. No. 15, for the entry in column (3), the entry "70% ad valorem " shall be substituted. 4. 93-Customs, dated the 17th February, 1986. In the Table to the said notification, against Sl. No. 4, in column (2), for the words, letters and figures "heading No. 90.12", the words, letters and figures "heading No. 90.13" shall be substituted. 5. 136-Customs, dated the 17th February 1986. In the Table to the said notification, — (1) against Sl. No. 53, — (a) in column (3), after item (11), the following item shall be inserted, namely :— "(12) Formic acid."; (b) against Sl. No. 80, in column (3), after item (viii), the following item shall be inserted, namely :— "(ix) Dodecyl Benzene." ; (2) after the Table, the following Explanation shall be inserted, namely :— 'Explanation. — For the purposes of this notification, "Dodeeyl Benzene" shall mean "branched chain Alkylate Benzene" also popularly known as "hard alkylates", but shall not include linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB) also popularly known as "soft alkylate."'
