Goods falling under Chapters 85, 90 and 94 Notification No. 93/86-Cus. Dated 17-2-1986 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts goods specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed (other than the parts and accessories specified in the corresponding entry in column (4) of the said Table), when imported into India, from so much of that portion of the duty of customs leviable thereon which is specified in the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) as is in excess of the amount calculated at the rate specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. Cinematographic projectors, sound recorders, and sound reproducers and any combination of these articles falling under heading No. 85.19, 85.20, 85.22 or 90.07. 40% ad valorem Parts or accessories, containing thermionic valves or transistors or similar semi-conductor device or light emitting diodes or electronic microcircuits or capacitors, other than paper capacitors. 4. Goods falling under heading No. 90.12; and search lights and spotlights falling under heading No. 94.05 60% ad valorem Parts or accessories containing thermionic valves or similar semi-conductor devices or light emitting diodes or electronic microcircuits or capacitors other than paper capacitors. 2. This notification shall come into force on the 28th day of February, 1986.
