To set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at village Pocharam, Mandal Ghatkesar, District Ranga Reddy in the State or Andhra Pradesh MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 3rd September, 2009 S.O. 2256(E). - Whereas M/s. Infosys Technologies Limited, a private organisation in the State of Andhra Pradesh, has proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at village Pocharam, Mandal Ghatkesar, District Ranga Reddy in the State or Andhra Pradesh; And, whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act read with Rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006 , has notified the area of 60.94 hectares at above Special Economic Zone in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification number S.O. 2537(E), dated 27th October, 2008 ; And, whereas, M/s. Infosys Technologies Limited has proposed for the inclusion of an additional area of 120.09 Ha, to the above Special Economic Zone and the Central Government after considering the said proposal approved and conveyed it on 27th February, 2009; And, whereas, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of Section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of Rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby notifies an additional area of 102.09 hectares, thereby making total area as 181.03 hectares, at village Pocharam, Mandal Ghatkesar, District Ranga Reddy in the State or Andhra Pradesh, comprising of the survey numbers and the area given below in the Tabble, to be included as a part of that Special Economic Zone, namely: - TABLE S.
