Film on video tape or compact video disc import not allowed without licence Notification No. 21/1997 Dated 23/10/1997 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Acts, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with paragraph 4.1 of Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Central Government hereby notifies the following amendment in the "ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import Items 1997-2002". namely:- The description of item against the following Sub-Exim Code under Exim Code 85.24 shall be amended to read as under:- Exim Code Item Description Policy Condition relation to the policy Import under SIL / Public Notice 852499 09.90 Other (Including film on video tape or compact video disc). Restricted Consumer goods-Not permitted to be imported except against a licence or in accordance with Public Notice issued in this behalf. 2. This issues in public interest.
