To set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and/or information technology enabled services at Noida in the State of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /> Uttar Pradesh – Additional area<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 20th October, 2009 S.O. 2635(E).— Whereas M/s HCL Technologies Limited, has proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and/or information technology enabled services at Plot Number 3A, Sector 126, Noida in the State of Uttar Pradesh; And whereas the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , has notified a total area of 16.91 hectares at Plot Number 3A, Sector 126, Noida in the State of Uttar Pradesh as Special Economic Zone in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification No. S.O. 2107(E), dated 15th December, 2006 ; And whereas M/s. HCL Technologies Limited has proposed to include additional area of 1.49 hectares at Plot Number 3A, Sector 126, Noida in the State of Uttar Pradesh as a part of that Special Economic Zone; And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of Section 3 of the Act and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted letter of approval under sub-section (10) of Section 3 of the Act for development and operation of the sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and/or information technology enabled services sector at the said Plot Number 3A on 5th June, 2009; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Act and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , the Central Government hereby notifies an additional area of 1.49 hectares at Plot Number 3A, Sector 326, Noida in the State of Uttar Pradesh as apart of that Special Economic Zone.
