Appoints Common Adjudicating Authority To be published in the Gazette of India , Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii)] Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) Notification No. 179/2009-Customs (N.T.) New Delhi , dated the 11th December, 2009 . 20 Agrahayana, 1931 Saka. S.O. 3186(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 and sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) , the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby appoints the Commissioner of Customs, The Mall, Amritsar to act as a common adjudicating authority to exercise the powers and discharge the duties conferred or imposed on,- (i) the Commissioner of Customs (Export), Ballard Estate, Mumbai; and (ii) the Commissioner of Customs (Port), Kolkata for the purpose of adjudicating the matters relating to Show Cause Notices pertaining to M/s. Monte International and others issued vide, DRI F.No. 23/31/2003-DZU/2622-34, dated the 26th May, 2008 and DRI F.No. 23/31/2003-DZU/557, dated the 27th February, 2009 respectively, by the Additional Director General, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Delhi Zonal Unit, New Delhi.
