To Set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Manufacture and Export of Aluminium along with 1215 MW Captive Power Plant at Bhurkamunda, Brundamal and Kurebaga Village Tehsil and District-Jharsuguda, - Orissa MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND JNDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 3rd March, 2010 S.O. 529(E).- Whereas M/s. Vedanta Aluminium Limited has proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the Act ) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Manufacture and Export of Aluminium along with 1215 MW Captive Power Plant at Bhurkamunda, Brundamal and Kurebaga Village Tehsil and District-Jharsuguda, in the State of Orissa; And whereas the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , has notified a total area of 166.91 hectares at Rhurkamunda, Brundamal and Kurebaga Villages, Tehsil and District-Jharsuguda, in the State of Orissa as Special Economic Zone in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry notification No. S.O. 576(E) dated 27th February, 2009 and subsequently notified an Additional area of 18.57864 hectares at KurebagaVillage in the State of Orissa as Special Economic Zone in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry notification No. S.O. 2394(E) dated 16th September, 2009 and 2725(E) dated 29th October, 2009 ; And whereas M/s.
