NO. 1083/G.I./98], DATED 20-4-1998, ISSUED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF COMPANY AFFAIRS, MINISTRY OF LAW, JUSTICE AND COMPANY AFFAIRS Subject:-Registrar of Companies Office at Pune To meet the requirements of the corporate sector and general public and to facilitate prompt service, Government of India have decided to open an office of the Registrar of Companies at Pune in the State of Maharashtra. With the establishment of the new office, the work relating to the companies having their registered offices in the districts of Pune, Nasik, Kolhapur, Ratnagiri. Hitherto being handled by the office of ROC, Mumbai, would be transferred to the new office. The new office would start functioning w.e.f. 1st May, 1998 at Pune Stock Exchange premises, PMT Commercial Building, Deccan Gymkhana, Pune - 411 004. The office would be headed by a Registrar of Companies with supporting staff. With the establishment of this office, it is hoped that the corporate sector and general public in the aforesaid district of Maharashtra will find it more convenient to promptly comply with the statutory provisions of the Companies Act, 1956.
