MINISTRY OF COMPANY AFFAIRS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 27 th June, 2006 Subject:- Cost Accounting Records (Electricity Industry) Amendment Rules, 2006 - Amendments in rule 3 and Schedule GSR 387(E).-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 642, read with clause (d) of sub-section (1) of section 209 of the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Cost Accounting Records (Electricity Industry) Rules, 2001, namely : 1. (1) These rules may be called the Cost Accounting Records (Electricity Industry) Amendment Rules, 2006. (2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the cost Accounting Records (Electricity Industry) Rules, 2001, (i) in rule 3, sub-rule (1) (a) for the words, keep proper books of account , the words keep books of account shall be substituted. (b) for the words the particulars specified in the Schedule , the words the particulars of records specified in the Schedule shall be substituted. (ii) in the Schedule, for the words proper records or proper and adequate records or adequate records wherever they occur, the word records shall be substituted.
