MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS Notification New Delhi, the 28 th July, 2006 Subject:- Section 1(3) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 - Commencement of Act - Notified date of certain sections S.O. 1216(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 (53 of 2005), the Central Government hereby appoints the 28-7-2006 as the date on which the provisions of sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 75, 77 and 79 of the said Act shall come into force.
