Amends Notification No. 26/2001-Central Excise, dated the 11th May, 2001 to affect the HSN changes w.e.f. 01.01.2012 - 44/2011 - Central Excise - Tariff

[TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA, EXTRAORDINARY, PART II, SECTION 3, SUB-SECTION (i)] GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF FINANCE (DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE) *** Notification No. 44/2011-Central Excise New Delhi, dated the 30th December, 2011 G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) read with sub-section (3) of section 136 of the Finance Act, 2001 (14 of 2001), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 26/2001-Central Excise, dated the 11th May, 2001, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R.347 (E), dated the 11th May, 2001, namely:- In the said notification, in the Table, (i) against S. No.2, for the entry in column (2), the entry 2403 19 21 shall be substituted; (ii) against S. No.4, for the entry in column (2), the entry 2403 11 10 shall be substituted; 2. This notification shall come into force with effect from 1st January, 2012.
