Export of Raw Hides Skins - Items Description Changed TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRA ORDINARY PART.II, SECTION-3, SUB SECTION (ii) GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE NOTIFICATION NO. 40 (RE-00)/1997-2002 NEW DELHI 20.10.2000 S.O. (E) In exercise of powers conferred by section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy,1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made up to 31.3.2000), the Central Government hereby the makes following further amendments in Schedule 2, Table-B of the book titled ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Imports items, 1997-2002. 1. All the entries under the Heading "Raw Hides and skins (other than fur skins) and leather " may be deleted and the following entries may be inserted, namely: - " Code Items description Policy Nature of Restriction 4101 4102 4103 4104 4105 4106 4107 4302 Hides and Skin, namely; (i) Raw Hides and Skins, all types Excluding lamb fur skin (ii) Fish Hides and Skins (iii) All categories of semi-processed Hides and Skins and wet blue Hides and skins and crust leather excluding E.I tanned Hides and Skins (a) (a) E.I. tanned Hides Skins (b) (b) Finished leather all kinds Clothing leather fur suede hair, hair-on suede/shearing suede leather Free Free Free Free The exporters shall be required to register the export contracts indicating the price, quantity etc. with the Council for Leather Exports The exporters shall be required to register the export contracts indicating the price, quantity etc. with the Council for Leather Exports Subject to the definition of finished leather, notified by DGFT from time to time As defined in ISI norms 8170 2.
