Demand Management Fortnight:

A Demand Management Fortnight was organized from 3rd September to 14th September 2012 to settle arrear demand grievances pertaining to uploading and rectification of demand on the CPC portal. All CCsIT were requested to nominate a Nodal Officer of the rank of JCIT and above as single point of contact for taxpayers. The Nodal Officers were entrusted to manage demand management as per SOP-Demand Management Fortnight. It was also conveyed that all arrear demand grievances to be resolved within 30 days by the Nodal Officer.

The Board desired that the steps initiated by the Field Formations should continue in order to accurately reflect the demand position in all such cases. So, the Demand Management Fortnight has been further extended by 15 days, viz. 24th September to 5th October 2012.

Arrear demand MIS-Dashboard:

Arrear demand MIS-Dashboard containing AO wise data of arrear demand uploaded made available to all CCsIT/DGsIT for monitoring. Detailed instructions uploaded on irsofficersonline.gov.in

AST:

Releases which are implemented during the month of September, 2012 are as under:-

Replacement of RSA Tokens-regarding:

As the validity of RSA tokens currently issued is going to expire shortly, all users have to take the new RSA tokens after surrendering their old tokens. CCsIT under their supervision and close monitoring with M/s IBM shall facilitate the distribution of these tokens.

These new RSA tokens are being dispatched to 18 CIT(CO) locations through M/s IBM-FMS and they have been asked to facilitate and extend all support to field formations for the distribution of RSA tokens among ITD users. Officer/ Staff need to provide the user details in the prescribed format. The IBM engineers would also take care of activating the new RSA tokens once the formalities have been completed.

It is to be ensured that all officers handling urgent and time barring work are provided with new RSA Tokens on priority. In case any further assistance/ clarification is required, Sh. After this exercise is over, a complete inventory of RSA tokens distributed in your regions alongwith surrendered RSA tokens may be sent to the Directorate for collation.
