CENVAT CREDIT

  • Contents

HELLO ,

WE IMPORTED A MACHINE IN DECEMBER 2015 ( AGAINST ZERO DUTY EPCG SCHEME ). Now we want to surrender our epcg license , after paying all the duty ( customs , excise ) plus Interest

After paying it , we want to take the cenvat credit ( for the excise component ). Is it allowed ? - (we are a manufacturer and registered with excise)

If yes , against which document ( as the Bill of Entry shows zero duty ) ??

Dear Ashish Ji,

You may claim cenvat of duties (CVD & Addl.Duty) on GAR-7 along with copy of bill of entry supported with the details of custom duty. The details may please be prepared in excel and authenticated.
