Kindly brief the procedure of Importation of Metal Scrap/Iron Scrap.Which Documents are required for appraisement of the PBE for importation. If licence from State pollution Board is required then what would be the validity of the pollution certificate.

Kindly guide us.

Certain export commodities have been notified for Compulsory Quality Control & Pre-shipment Inspection prior to their export. Penal action can be taken under the Export (Quality Control & Inspection) Act, 1963 as amended in 1984, against exporters who do not conform to these standards and/ or provisions of the Act as laid down for such products.

Therefore in our view, Your must have pre-shipment inspection report from the nominated inspection agencies in this matter.
