The Goods and Services Tax (GST) is a value added tax (VAT) on the supply of goods or services. The introduction of goods and services tax shall replace taxes such as Central sales tax, State level sales tax, Service tax etc. The goods and service tax (GST) is proposed to be a comprehensive study on indirect taxes which is levied on manufacture, sale and consumption of goods as well as services at a national level.
