Govt launches SIMS 2.0 for steel imports monitoring; SIMS 1.0 discontinued. File new apps on https://sims.steel.gov.in after 25.07.2024, 2 pm.

Government launched updated Steel Import Monitoring System (SIMS) 2.0 on 25.07.2024 at 2:00 pm, accessible at https://sims.steel.gov.in. SIMS 1.0 on DGFT website discontinued; existing applications viewable until further notice. Importers to file SIMS applications on SIMS 2.0 portal after launch. Dedicated SIMS 2.0 Helpdesk available over telephone or email. Issued with competent authority's approval by Joint Director General of Foreign Trade.
