2014 (1) TMI 1852 - HC - Money LaunderingComplaint under the provisions of PMLA - bail application - misuse of bail - Held that - The petitioner was arrested in the said FIR and had faced custodial interrogation. He was, thereafter, granted the concession of regular bail and now regularly appearing before the trial Court. He has not misused the concession of bail in any manner. The complainant-respondent vehemently opposes the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner. Adjourned to 31.3.2014. In the meantime, the petitioner shall appear before the Special Judge, (Designated under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002)-cum-Sessions Judge, Jalandhar on or before 3.2.2014. In the event of his doing so, he be admitted to ad interim bail by the said Court to its satisfaction.
The High Court of Punjab and Haryana heard a case related to the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002. The petitioner, who had been arrested earlier, was granted regular bail and is cooperating with the trial court. The next hearing was adjourned to 31.3.2014. The petitioner was directed to appear before the Special Judge in Jalandhar by 3.2.2014 for possible ad interim bail.
