Rule 3 - Appointment of designated authority - Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment and Collection of Countervailing Duty on Subsidized Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995Extract Rule 3. Appointment of designated authority. - (1) The Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint a person not below the rank of a Joint Secretary to the Government of India or such other person as that Government may think fit as the designated authority for purposes of these rules. (2) The Central Government may provide to the designated authority the services of such other persons and such other facilities as it deems fit.
