MINISTRY OF LAW AND JUSTICE (Legislative Department) New Delhi, the 6th January, 1990/Pausa 16, 1911 (Saka) The following Act of Parliament received the assent of the President on the 8th January, 1990, and is hereby published for general information: THE CONSTITUTION (STXTY-THIRD AMENDMENT) ACT, 1989 [6th January, 1990] An Act farther to amend the Constitution of India. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fortieth Year of the Republic of India as follows; 1. Short title and commencement . (1) This Act may be called the Constitution (Sixty-third Amendment) Act, 1989. (2) It shall come into force with immediate effect.
