MINISTRY OF LAW (Legislative Department) New Delhi, the 17th August, 1961/Sravana 26, 1883 (Saka) The following Act of Parliament received the assent of the President on the 16th August, 1961, and is hereby published for general information: THE CONSTITUTION (TENTH AMENDMENT) ACT, 1961 [16th August, 1961.] An Act further to amend the Constitution of India. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Twelfth Year of the Republic of India as follows: 1. Short title and commencement . (1) This Act may be called the Constitution (Tenth Amendment) Act, 1961. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 11th day of August, 1961.
