Attention of the trade is invited to Chennai Customs Facility Circular No. 31/2018 dated 23.07.2018, 36/2018 dated 31.08.2018 regarding extension of Direct Port Entry facility at Kattupa(li and Chennai port respectively on 24X7 basis, Facility Circular NO. - 21/2018 dated 20.04.2018 regarding RMS facilitation cell and Facility Circular No. 22/2017 dated 01.11.2017 regarding extension of facility of Direct Port Delivery (DPD) at Chennai, Ennore nd Kattupalli ports and creation of a 24X7 DPD cell. 2. In Public Notice Nos. 39/2016 dated 26.02.2016, 82/2016 dated 10.03.2016 and Facility Circular No. 17/2005 dated 31.08.2005, 24X7 customs clearance Operations in respect of identified categories of Import (RMS facilitated imports) and Export (factory stuffed export containers and export consignments covered under free shipping bills) goods are allowed through three CFSs viz. a. M/S A. S. Shipping Agencies Pvt. Ltd. (Numbal CFS), Numbal Village, Chennai b. M/S Continental Warehousing Corporation (Nhava Seva) Limited, CFS, Red Hills, Chennai c. M/S Central Warehousing Corporation CFS, Madhavaram, Chennai 4. All the Exporters and Customs Brokers who are desirous of clearing the Factory stuffed export containers and self e-sealed containers beyond office hours can move the containers to the respective ports' DPE facility to process the shipping bill (SB) and obtain Let Export Order (LEO). For RMS facilitated bills, a separate RMS facilitation cell is in operation for 6 days a week, in the Custom House, as per above mentioned facility circular for giving OOC for RMS bills. For AEO / DPD clients, DPD cell is in operation round the cEock, in the Custom House, to facilitate the clearance of the import bills. 5. In view of the above facilities extended to the importers, Exporters and Customs Brokers, it has been decided to withdraw the facility of 24X7 clearance of goods from the above mentioned CFSs (as mentioned in Para. 2) with effect from 01.10.2018. Any difficulty, experienced in the implementation, may be brought to the notice of the Deputy Commissioner of Customs (Docks - Administration).
