F.No. VIII/48-21/Cus/Sys/2017-18 PUBLIC NOTICE No. 02/2018 DATED : 11-01-2018 Sub. : Formation of IGST Refund helpdesk. As per Rule 96 of the CGST Rules, Exporters' who have paid IGST on the export consignment, will be eligible for refund of the IGST once the consignment has been exported and the EGM(s) (local and gateway) is/are filed without error. 2. However, on account of errors identified by the systems during the course of integration with IGST and at the level of Public Financial Management Systems(PFMS), many of the IGST refund claims are lying pending. 3. For the purpose of obtaining data showing the shipping bill wise/ IEC wise status of the IGST refund claims, Directorate of Systems and Data Management has introduced some modules in the EDI System. The information is being procured from the system and communicated to the trade as well as staff for resolving the pending cases of IGST refund claims. By way of this measure, this Commissionerate could generate successful scrolls and many of the exporters could get their IGST refund. To make the trade aware of the status of the shipping bills where IGST refund is pending for sanction, this office is timely uploading the status of shipping bills on its website i.e. www.ahmedabadcustoms.gov.in. 5. Taking a further step towards facilitation of trade, it has been decided to form a Helpdesk which will make trade fraternity aware of the errors/problem arising while processing IGST Refund.
