It has been reported to the Board that different views are being taken regarding eligibility of exemption to more than one intermediate products under Notification No. 217/86, dated 2-4-1986 in different Collectorates. 2. This issue has been examined in the Board and it is felt that exemption may be permitted to more than one intermediate products used captively in the manufacture of final product provided such intermediate products are those as contained in the table of Notification No. 217/86, dated 2-4-1986. 3.
