Pending rectifications. - Income Tax - 1346/CBDT

INSTRUCTION NO. 1346/CBDT Dated: August 21, 1980 Please refer to shri.K.N.Butanis d.o. letter of even number dated 5th July 1980 regarding reduction of tax arrears. 2. In para 6 therein it was emphasised that the ITOs should carry out rectifications including those pointed out by the assessees in Form No. ITNS-224 sent along with the return of income within a reasonable time. It was also stated therein that a feed-back regarding clearance of pending rectifications was being designed and would be communicated to you separately. 3. A quarterly statement for showing the progress on clearance of pending rectifications has since been prepared and is enclosed. The statement for each of the quarters may please be sent by the 15th of the following month. For the quarter ending 30-9-80 the statement may please be sent by 15-10-80. 4. Please acknowledge the receipt of this letter to shri.V.K.Swaminathan, Desk officer, IT(b) branch, room No.244B, CBDT, North block, New Delhi.
