In the American case of Henry R. Towne v. Mark Eisner 245 US 418, the court said, A word is not a crystal, transparent and unchanged; it is the skin of a living thought and may vary greatly in colour and content according to the circumstances and the time in which it is used . In ascertaining the meaning of the word only , its placement is material and so also the context in which the word has been used.
