Seeks to rescinds Notification No. S.O. 786(E) dated 15th February, 2018 - S.O. 3326 (E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 16th September, 2019 S.O. 3326(E).- WHEREAS, M/s. Metro Infocity Pvt. Ltd., M/s. Zamidar Realcon Pvt. Ltd. and M/s. Lavya Realtors Pvt. Ltd. (Jointly), had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services at Village-Behrampur Balola, Tehsil-Sohna, District-Gurgaon in the State of Haryana; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006 , had notified an area of 10.09 hectares vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 786(E) dated 15th February, 2018 ; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Metro Infocity Pvt. Ltd., M/s. Zamidar Realcon Pvt. Ltd. and M/s. Lavya Realtors Pvt. Ltd. (Jointly) has now proposed to de-notify entire area of 10.09 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Haryana has given its No Objection to the proposal vide Memo. No. SEZ/Metro Infocity Pvt. Ltd. /3610-A dated 10th July, 2019; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Noida Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of entire area of 10.09 Hectares of the Special Economic Zone; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by first proviso to rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
