Amendment in Notification No. FTX.90/2016/68 dated 22nd June, 2017 - FTX.79/2017/74 - Assam SGST

GOVERNMENT OF ASSAM ORDERS BY THE GOVERNOR FINANCE (TAXATION) DEPARTMENT NOTIFICATION The 18th December, 2020 No. FTX.79/2017/74 .- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Assam Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (Assam Act No. XXVIII of 2017), the Governor of Assam is hereby pleased to make following amendments in the notification No. FTX.90/2016/68 dated 22 nd June, 2017 of the Finance (Taxation) Department, Government of Assam published in the Assam Gazette Extraordinary No. 304 dated 22 nd June, 2017, namely: - 1. In the said notification, in the first paragraph, - (i) in the seventh line and in the table, in column (2), against Sl. No. (1) and in column against Sl. No. 3 and 4, for the words, Commissioner of State tax the words, principal Commissioner of State tax shall be substituted; (ii) in the eight line, and in the table, in column against Sl. No. (2), for the words Additional Commissioner of State tax the words, Special Commissioner of State tax shall be substituted: (iii) in the eight line, and in the table in column (2), against Sl. No. (3) for the words Joint Commissioners of State tax , the words Additional Commissioner of State tax shall be substituted: (iv) in the eight and ninth line and in the table, for the word, Deputy Commissioner of State tax wherever they occur, the Words Joint Commissioner of State tax shall be substituted. (v) in the ninth line and in the table in column for the words. Assistant Commissioners of State tax wherever they occur, the words Deputy Commissioners of State tax shall be substituted; (vi) in the tenth line and in the table, in column (2), for the words. Superintendents of State tax wherever they occur, the words Assistant Commissioner of State tax shall be substituted, (vii) in the tenth line and in the table, in column (2), for the words, Inspectors of State tax wherever they occur the words, Superintendents of State tax shall be substituted. 2. This change of designation is a change in nomenclature so far implementation of Assam Goods and Services Tax Act is concerned. It does not change the original rank or designation of the officer in any manner whatsoever and have no additional monetary benefit admissible due to the change in nomenclature. 3.
