Special Economic Zone for IT and ITES in the State of Karnataka - area of 1.530 hectares denotified at Devarabeesanahalli, Bhoganahalli and Doddakannahalli Villages, Varthur Hobli, Bangalore, in the State of Karnataka - S.O. 2936 (E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) (SEZ Division) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 4th July, 2023 S.O. 2936(E). Whereas, M/s. Arliga Ecoworld Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. (formerly M/s. Adarsh Prime Project Pvt. Ltd. and M/s. RMZ Ecoworld Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd.) had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services at Devarabeesanahalli, Bhoganahalli and Doddakannahalli Villages, Varthur Hobli, Bangalore, in the State of Karnataka; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , notified and de-notified the following areas at above Special Economic Zone as per the details given below in the table:- Sl. Adarsh Prime Project Pvt. Ltd. to M/s. RMZ Ecoworld Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. and further from M/s. RMZ Ecoworld Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. to M/s. Arliga Ecoworld Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Arliga Ecoworld Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. has now proposed for de-notification of 1.530 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Karnataka has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No. CI 15 SPI 2023 dated 26th April, 2023; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Cochin Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 1.530 hectares of the Special Economic Zone. The area after de-notification will be utilised for allocation to DTA units in IT/ITES Sector; NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 1.530 hectares, thereby making the resultant notified area of the SEZ 10.415 hectares.
