Central Government de-notifies an area of 3.22 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 80.88 hectares at Village Mamidipally, District Ranga Reddy in the State of Telangana - S.O. 2768(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) (SEZ Section) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 15th July, 2024 S.O. 2768(E) . WHEREAS, M/s. GMR Hyderabad Aviation SEZ Limited a private organisation in the State of Telangana, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Airport at Village Mamidipally, District Ranga Reddy in the State of Telangana; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules 2006 , had notified an area of 101.92 hectares and de-notified two areas of 8.92 hectares and 8.90 at above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification numbers S.O. 2637(E) dated 20th October, 2009 , S.O. 883(E) dated 24th March, 2014 and S.O. 5682(E) 05th December, 2022 , respectively; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. GMR Hyderabad Aviation SEZ Limited, has now proposed for de-notification of 3.22 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Telangana has given its No Objection to the proposal vide letter No. 2719/IP INF/A2/2022 dated 11.03.2024; AND WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 3.22 hectares of the Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 3.22 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 80.88 hectares.
