De-notifies an area of 8.92 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 93 hectares - sector specific Special Economic Zone for Aviation at Village Mamidipally, District Ranga Reddy in the State of Andhra Pradesh. - S.O. 883 (E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 24th March, 2014 S.O. 883 (E).- WHEREAS, M/s. GMR Hyderabad Aviation SEZ Limited (Formerly M/s. GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited) a private organisation in the State of Andhra Pradesh, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Aviation at Village Mamidipally, District Ranga Reddy in the State of Andhra Pradesh; And, Whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules 2006 , had notified the areas of 101.92 hectares at above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification numbers S.O. 2637 (E) dated 20 th October, 2009 respectively; And Whereas, the Central Government, vide F. No. F.1/12/2007-SEZ dated 3rd March, 2010 conveyed the approval for transfer of formal approval from M/s. GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited to M/s. GMR Hyderabad Aviation SEZ Limited; And Whereas, the Central Government, vide F. No. F.1/12/2007-SEZ dated 8th August, 2011, had conveyed the approval for change of Sector of the SEZ from Aviation to SEZ in an existing Airport ; And, Whereas, M/s. GMR Hyderabad Aviation SEZ Limited, has now proposed for de-notification of 8.92 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone and the State Government of Andhra Pradesh has given its No Objection to the proposal vide letter No. 18792/INF/A2/2006 dated 07.12.2013; And Whereas, the Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 8.92 hectares of the Special Economic Zone; And, Whereas, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; Now, Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 8.92 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 93 hectares, comprising the survey numbers and the area given below in the table, namely:- TABLE FOR DENOTIFICATION AREA S.
