Central Government rescinds the Notification Numbers S.O. 2394 (E) dated 30.09.2010 and S.O. 260 (E) dated 10.02.2012 - S.O. 5179(E) - Special Economic ZoneExtract MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) (SEZ DIVISION) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 29th November, 2024 S.O. 5179(E). Whereas, M/s. Arshiya Limited (formerly M/s. Arshiya International Limited), had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a Special Economic Zone for FTWZ at Village Bori, Taluka and District Nagpur, in the State of Maharashtra; AND, whereas, the Central Government, in the exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , notified an area of 43.258 hectares and 3.616 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Numbers S.O. 2394 (E) dated 30.09.2010 and S.O. 260 (E) dated 10.02.2012 respectively; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Arshiya Limited has now proposed to de-notify the entire area of 46.874 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Maharashtra has given No Objection Certificate to the proposal vide letter No. SEZ-2022/CR-93/ Ind-2 dated 28th August, 2024. Further, after de-notification, such de-notified area will conform to land use guidelines/master places of the State Government; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, SEEPZ- Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of the entire area of 46.874 hectares of the Special Economic Zone; NOW, THEREFORE, in the exercise of the powers conferred by the first proviso to rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except for things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
