To set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Keeranatham Village, Coimbatore North Taluk, Coimbatore District in the State of Tamil Nadu MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 28th April, 2009 S.O. 1060(E). - Whereas M/s. Coimbatore Hitech Infrastructure Private Limited has proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Keeranatham Village, Coimbatore North Taluk, Coimbatore District in the State of Tamil Nadu; And whereas, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of Section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted letter of approval under sub-section (10) of Section 3 of the said Act for development and operation of the sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at the said village on the 20th day of August. 2006 over an area of 60.73 hectares: And whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , has notified a total area of 34.66 hectares at Keeranatham Village, Coimbatore North Taluk, Coimbatore District in the State of Tamil Nadu as Special Economic Zone in the Ministry of Commerce and industry notification number 1936 (E), dated the 9th November, 2006 and subsequently notified a part of the remaining area of 12.66 hectares at above said villages in the State of Tamil Nadu as Special Economic Zone in the Ministry of Commerce and industry notification number 1558(E), dated the 17th September, 2007; And whereas M/s. Coimbatore Hitech infrastructure Private Limited has proposed to include a part of additional area of 3.93.5 hectares at Keeranatham Village, Coimbatore North Taluk, Coimbatore District in the Stale of Tanail Nadu as a part of that Special Economic Zone; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby notifies the part of the remaining area of 3.93.5 hectares at Keeranatham Village, Coimbatore North Taluk, Coimbatore District in the State of Tamil Nadu, comprising of the Survey numbers and the area given in the Table below, to be included as a part of that Special Economic Zone, namely :- TABLE Sl.
