Iron and Steel - Amendment to Notification No. 34/92-C.E.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 34/92-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1992, namely :-

In the table annexed to the said notification, after S. No. 16 and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely :-

"16A.	7217.90	Wire of iron or non-alloy steel, plated or coated with base metals.	Rs. 1000 per tonne"
